Many teens face common issues of adolescence, such as peer pressure, academic expectations, family expectations and changing bodies. Children and teens express feelings of sadness in different ways than adults.  Teen depression can affect a teen regardless of race, gender, social background, income level, school or other achievements. Here at KFPP we use a standardized screening tool to assess our 12 years through 21 years of age for depression.  Early detection leads to early intervention to provide our teens and young adults tools to manage their overall mental health from adolescence and beyond.
