The Fourth of July
Greetings… I have the privilege of addressing you again for this week’s “Letter from your Pediatrician”. In my first note I addressed Father’s Day, and now I get a chance to recognize the Fourth of July. This week we celebrate the birthday of our great country – The United States of America. – I am so proud to be an American…..Happy birthday to the land of the free and the home of the brave.
And on a more personal note, July 2nd is an important date in my family – both my daughter Esti and my older son Coby were born on July 2nd, exactly 2 years apart. The day after Esti was born at Evanston Hospital, my wife got a birdseye view of the glorious fireworks show from her hospital room. When Esti was turning 2, my wife was a week from being due with our fourth child. We had a small family party planned with a birthday cake and balloons, but my son Coby had other plans. He was born that morning, and the party was moved to the hospital room.
As I mentioned in my last note – we are very excited about this new feature on our website and we hope you will check back each Monday to get a more personal insight into the doctors who care for your children. Next week Dr. DiVincenzo will put together some thoughts, followed by Dr. Comrov. Then Dr. Shepherd will round things out before my turn comes around again.
