Thanks for Your Kind Words

Kids First Families,

First I would like to thank you all for all of your kind words and well wishes regarding the new little addition to the Russo family. My son Anthony is almost 6 months old now, and my husband, Gianni, and I are truly enjoying being parents. Everyone has always told us to “enjoy each stage because time goes by so fast.” This statement is both great advice and incredibly true. As the weeks go by, little Anthony is doing more and is changing and growing faster than I ever expected. I spend much of my day with him just sitting back and watching him play, and I am amazed at what he discovers and how much he can do when given a little time.

Many of you have also asked about my transition back to work after my maternity leave and have wondered if I wish to be home. The truth is that I have a great balance in my life right now, and I wouldn’t change it. It was of course an adjustment to be without him during the day, but like any change it just took a little time to get used to. I have always said that having the opportunity to work with you and your children has and will make me a better mother. You and your kids have taught me so much over the years and for that I am grateful. I truly feel that Anthony gets the best of me when I have a good work-home balance.
